We could not be more excited for round two of this very special event. Last year was so amazing that we decided to do it again and make it a yearly annual event for all you wonderful country music fans of Vancouver.
This year’s lineup is incredible and includes local songwriter @etmusic66, an NCC artist widely known and admired for his guitar work around the country music scene. Etienne is also a driving force and founding member in one of Vancouver’s best psychedelic rock bands, @themoonlightyears and is also writing and singing powerful and poetic folk and country songs. @ponygold from Vancouver Island will also be performing, bringing their sweet and soulful sound to “Hot Country Night Out 2”. @ianbadger, a celebrated voice in East Vancouver’s country music scene, will showcase his take on traditional classic country styling, with a touch of the sad songwriters who paved the way before him.
Elliot C Way will return to the Hot Country Night Out stage to deliver another standout performance of his cosmic outlaw country music. And last but most certainly not least, closing this epic night of music will be @spankwilliams , one of the city’s most popular performers known for his wild and energetic shows that blend jazz, funk, and country music, creating a raucous dance party wherever he performs.

NORTH COUNTRY COLLECTIVE ANNOUNCES NEW ARTIST BEN ARSENAULT
March 7th, 2024 – Vancouver-based music label North Country Collective is excited to announce the addition of acclaimed singer-songwriter Ben Arsenault to their roster of local talent.
“Everyone here at North Country Collective is ecstatic to be working with Ben”, NCC President Nick Lawton said, “We have all been big fans of his since the beginning of the Real Ponchos and can’t wait to release some absolutely fantastic new music from him in the very near future. We know his fans will be very happy to hear the new songs and we think they are up there with his best work yet!”
Arsenault most recently issued his acclaimed self-titled solo album, released in December 2022, described as “akin to a phone call from a good friend when you need them most” by Canadian music editorial Dominionated.
While Arsenault is best known for his work with Real Ponchos, Vancouver’s long-standing psychedelic country rockers, it is his solo music that has been turning heads of late. Music blog Restless and Real distinguished his solo work from his work with the Ponchos in this way:
“If his other band, The Real Panchos' records owe something to the spirit of The Grateful Dead and early seventies cowboy jam bands, Ben's solo music eschews the improvised musical excursions that define their sound to focus on the simple pleasure of performing really good songs in a heart-felt manner.”
North Country Collective, formed in 2021, is home to fellow Vancouver based artists Bob Sumner, Chance Lovett, Elliot C Way, Johnny 99 and Etienne Tremblay. In addition to Ben Arsenault joining the label, they have several exciting announcements coming soon and some incredible new music on the way.
“We are hoping that 2024 is going to be the best year yet for our humble Collective, and we can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on with everyone very soon”, continued Lawton, “Ben will be announcing a single very shortly and that will kick everything off. Stay tuned”
